Lenny Domestic Shorthair Young Male in Cincinnati, Ohio

My story
Lenny loves playing with balls. He prefers for a human to toss his balls somewhere across the room so he can chase after them. His favorites are plastic balls with groves in them, because then he may play fetch! Or he might fling the ball across the room again. He really really likes to play, especially wands with ribbons, feathers, or items on a string. He likes chewing on strings, and he might chew on papers. His foster has been moderately successful with his own chewing items and cat grass. Lenny is food motivated, so you should be able to treat train him for at least simple things, such as going for a scratcher instead of furniture. He does really like scratching things, so we’d recommend at least mixes of floor scratchers and scratching posts to start. Keep in mind that cats work best with positive reinforcement (treats, praise when encountering where he should scratch), and as a kitten he’s a bit sillier than an adult cat. He also is not very well socialized due to having falsely tested positive for an illness earlier in his life. Lenny is not really a lap cat, but he makes up for it in his love of his human(s)! He likes to follow people around and can become quite chatty. He hates closed doors that block his way! He can be incredibly smart about them, and has been known to open a few when they’re unlocked. He’s incredibly curious and WILL WANT TO KNOW what’s behind that forbidden door that you are meanly keeping him out of. Between this and him attempting to chew or eat any small thing on the floor, we’re not sure if he’s a genius or a bit dim. He also will sometimes curl up next to you or on top of you if you are lying down. He can be a bit nippy when wanting to play, but that can be easily solved by playing with him. If you want a mischievous yet loveable cat, Lenny’s your guy. And he’s really cute, too!All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
